PEI is a specialist financial information group that services the global finance and investment communities active in the alternative asset classes of private equity, real estate, private debt and infrastructure. We are also increasingly active in newer, emerging alternative asset markets as well as in once-niche parts of our existing asset classes.

We do this via a portfolio of products and services within each asset class. Central to all that we do are our publications which deliver a combination of authoritative editorial coverage with specialist research and analytics using a combination of print and digital channels. Each of our product suites is attached to at least one of our publishing brands.

Our various products and services are profiled on this page.

    Publications

PEI publishes a portfolio of websites and associated magazines to deliver both breaking news and in-depth analysis that is relevant to our readership in each asset class.

By combining digital news delivery with monthly print publications we can leverage both media to full advantage for our subscribers. Both channels are also used to deliver market data from our Research & Analytics division. Each of our publications also provide the brand[s] and the marketing platform on which we deliver all of our other products and services globally.

    Research & Analytics

PEI has developed and maintains a suite of online databases to help our audience monitor and analyse capital flows into, and investment activity in, each asset class we cover.

Our own team of researchers and analysts based in each of our regional offices leverage PEI’s network of connections to capture this data which is commingled with our proprietary editorial coverage. This provides a powerful source of actionable intelligence that our clients integrate into their daily workflows. Accessible via our premium subscription levels, users can purchase single, multi-user and enterprise-wide annual licenses for these services.

The team also run a series of proprietary rankings of alternative asset fund managers and publish regular investor sentiment analyses.

  • Conferences

    Conferences

PEI hosts circa 50 conferences each year and each one of these is partnered with at least one of our publications.

The conference division works closely with our editorial teams to deliver substantive programmes whilst maximising the networking opportunities at each event. Innovative formats, intelligent use of interactive technologies and the ability to attract exceptional speakers have helped to build a portfolio of premium annual conferences where up to 700 senior professionals at any one meeting will convene.

These meetings enrich customers’ experience of our brands as well as broadening and deepening our engagement with key communities within our asset classes. They also provide a powerful means for institutions to engage with key target groups by partnering with us as event sponsors.

    Specialist networks

As institutional capital has become more engaged with alternative asset investment so new asset classes have emerged and once niche practices within alternatives have flourished. More investors are connecting with more fund managers and participating in more specialised activities much more often.

Our specialist networks bring these emerging communities of practitioners together: delivering substantial news coverage of each market via dedicated web sites and also hosting both informal meetings and larger annual conventions for each of these groups. Our broad and deep knowledge of the alternative assets industries makes PEI the obvious source for this kind of authoritative coverage and connectivity.
